In these wild and restorative environments, you’re invited to step away from the demands of daily life and immerse yourself in meaningful therapeutic work. Nature provides a powerful backdrop for healing—allowing you to reconnect with your body, engage all your senses, and build a deeper, more authentic connection with your therapist in a setting that feels grounding, open, and safe.
Wellness Workshops
As humans, we intuitively understand that nature holds a profound ability to heal our mind, body, and spirit—often in ways that words alone can't fully capture. Ecotherapy Wellness Workshops provide a deeply immersive experience designed to help you reconnect with the Earth, and through that connection, strengthen your relationship with yourself and those around you. Ranging from 90-minute sessions to full-day retreats, these workshops offer practical tools and insights that you can carry back into your everyday life—enriching your family, community, and personal well-being.

Ecotherapy Wellness Workshops
This summer, Waves Wellness has partnered with The Chattery and Reflection Riding to facilitate Ecotherapy Wellness Workshops one Saturday each month. Join a small, supportive group of 10–12 individuals in a shared, intentional space designed to deepen your connection with yourself, others, and the natural world. You can purchase tickets here!

What you can expect
Once we determine that Waves Wellness is a good fit for your healing journey, we’ll begin with initial sessions in the office. These first meetings give us a chance to connect in a comfortable setting, gather important background information, and begin laying the foundation of trust and safety. We’ll also talk through what it will look like to transition your healing work into the natural world—out on the trails.
During our first trail session, we’ll begin with a grounding mindfulness practice to help you arrive fully in the moment. From then on, each outdoor session will start and end with mindfulness, deepening your connection to the present and to the land we’re privileged to share. Together, we’ll co-create a personalized treatment plan aligned with your unique healing goals, and each session will be guided by that vision.
Our work will be rooted in evidence-based approaches such as Bowen Family Systems Theory, Ecotherapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). These integrative frameworks allows us to address the whole of who you are—your experiences, relationships, values, and needs—while walking toward greater wellness.
Putting therapeutic skills into practice beyond our sessions is a vital part of the healing process. I invite you to show up authentically and engage with intention—both in our work together and in your daily life. The time we share in session serves as a foundation, helping you build a life rooted in resilience, self-awareness, and lasting wellness.
